Dr. Laura Dumitrași has advanced training in the field of maternal-fetal medicine, gained through an intensive two-year specialization in leading medical centers in the United Kingdom: Harris Birthright Centre, Medway Hospital, Southend Hospital, and the Fetal Medicine Centre.
Her training included expertise in first-trimester screening, second and third-trimester morphology scans, fetal echocardiography, ultrasound assessment of the cervix and placenta, and preeclampsia screening. Her daily clinical routine involved performing 12–15 ultrasounds per day, followed by in-depth clinical discussions with a consultant to establish a personalized pregnancy monitoring plan.
She actively participated in counseling sessions for cases involving fetal pathology, receiving both theoretical instruction and hands-on training in invasive intrauterine procedures, such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
Additionally, Dr. Laura Dumitrași was involved in complex multidisciplinary meetings, bringing together specialists in maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric surgery, during which fetal pathology cases were analyzed and integrated monitoring and delivery plans were developed for each case.
This multidimensional experience has strengthened her competencies in high-risk pregnancy care and personalized medical decision-making, based on interdisciplinary collaboration and excellence in clinical practice.
