Member of the Romanian Society of Pneumology, president of the Somnology section of the same Society, member of the Executive Committee of the Assembly of National Sleep Societies within the European Sleep Research Society, he participates in numerous scientific conferences with articles presented at these events or published in international specialty journals.
Education
Graduated in 1990 from the Faculty of General Medicine of the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, and after completing internship and residency, became a specialist pulmonologist in 2002.
Since 1996, he has been employed at the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara within the Department of Phthisiology, initially as a university teaching assistant, and currently holds the position of lecturer. In 2013, he obtained the Certificate of Complementary Studies in Somnology, as well as the title of Expert in Sleep Medicine.
Job experience
He began his activity in the pneumology clinic of the “Victor Babeș” Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Timișoara, first as a specialist physician, then from 2008 as a senior pulmonologist. In the same year, he obtained the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences with the thesis “Correlation between systemic and polysomnographic manifestations of sleep apnea syndrome”.
