ASSESSMENT AND TESTING OF BEHAVIORS – the assessment and testing of behaviors is complementary to the symptomatic assessment – depending on the specialization, different methods can be used, from observation or clinical interview, to the use of scales or technological support.
DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND TESTING - developmental assessment and testing refers to expert assessment and based on an empirical methodology to quantify developmental delays or abnormalities - language, intellect, memory, attention and overlap to some extent with cognitive ones, but the emphasis falls on the comparative situation of the subject against a normative, but dynamic, standard of development.
ASSESSMENT AND TESTING OF COGNITIVE ABILITIES – assessment and testing of cognitive abilities (especially of adults) is an integral part of the core competencies of the clinical psychologist, in the classic and slow understanding of the field.
