After one year of internship at the Central Military Hospital, he passed the residency exam at the Military Medical Institute in 1994. He pursued his residency training at Colțea Clinical Hospital, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Minerva Muraru and Prof. Dr. Ion Bruckner, and later at the Central Military University Hospital. In 1999, he became a specialist in internal medicine, and in 2001, a specialist in cardiology. In 2000, he obtained certification in general ultrasound, and in 2001, he obtained certification in echocardiography and a subspecialization in aerospace medicine.
